Microwave Cake
Here’s the promised Microwave Cake recipe with pictures.
You need:
Cocoa, 1/2 Cup
Flour, 1 Cup
Baking Powder, 1Tsp
Salt, a pinch
Eggs, 3 medium
Sugar, 1 Cup
Oil, 3/4 Cup
Milk, keep some handy just in case you have to thin the batter a bit
Method:
Sift all dry ingredients together (except the sugar)

Add half the oil to the sugar and beat…gradually add all the oil. (imp, beat well and add oil gradually)

Now add the eggs one-by-one beating two to three minutes after each addition.

It would be a bit liquid at this stage. If not, keep the milk ready for addition later.

Add the sifted ingredients (Flour, Salt, Baking Powder, Cocoa Powder) into the egg mixture in two batches

Mix, Mix, be quick about it! You don’t wanna over-beat and make the cake hard!

This is approximately how thick it should be:

Pour the batter into a dish lined with oiled paper. The paper is important if you’re goin to life the cake out. Microwave cakes are very soft and they break easily. Otherwise, i don’t use paper.

Take it out and let cool for three-five minutes…

You’re finished now!
*there’s no final picture of the cake. I took it out to let cool and someone cut off a huge chunk by the time i got back*
Hope this helps. Either ways, let me know.

Wow!! that looks yummy! I’ll try this after my papers
Some questions…
1. Are eggs are beaten seperately than oil and sugar?
2. Is that sugar grind sugar?
3. At what stage those beaten and that oil and sugar get mixed together?
Hmm…i guess, so far yehi questions hein!!
oh … i am just so discourteous! I forgot to thank u for going to all this trouble of first making the cake and then taking pics all thru the process, uploading them at Flickr and posting the whole thing.
Thanks for that
@ Ordinary girl, hey i hope that helps!
1) No. That’s why i took a picture of the un-beaten egg in the mixture. (refer to picture 4)
2) Yep the sugar has to be ground.
3) Okay, I’m not very clear about what you meant to ask here. Lets see… the sugar and oil will be mixed when the mixture makes a paste of sorts. The oil should NOT be separate from the sugar. It might be a bit glossy and all. Either ways, three to five minutes is enough time for this.
I hope this is what you wanted to know! Let me know if there are any other questions.
Sorry, typo in the last question, but anyways, I get it that first ground sugar and oil get mixed … and then eggs are added one by one. Is that right?
Yep Ordinary Girl, you are correct!!
*drum roll*
Here’s your juicer/ blender
i say utilizing an oven would be better…
microwave radiates everything.
Ateeq- MAN! If we had oven, what could be easier than baking a cake in it!! This is for those like me who’re suffering lack of good ovens and HAVE to have some home-madecake. Yummmmy…
i can’t see any pictures!
I was looking for a m/wave cake without chocolate.) Needed to make a cake as a gift and 4got to buy cocoa.(
I made some substitutions -equal amount of flour for cocoa and reduced the amount of oil. It came out quite nice,oh! i had chocolate sprinkles which i use within.
the proof of its looks will be proven shortly ..after the eating!
Oh, in such a hurry to carry my cake, 4got …..
Thanks a whole lot!!
