Cosmeceutique Review
Ever since I was 13, I have fought a war to take care of acne prone skin… a little bit of ignorance and there goes a year’s worth of hard work down the drain. People, usually random strangers in the market lean close and say, ‘Hai Allah, don’t you take care of your skin? Use lemons/ mud masks/ Neutrogena/ Clearasil/ blah blah’ As if there’s anything in the market I have NOT tried. I’m a walking expert on all types of skin care regimens, if only they would work! In all fairness, they work for one or two months and that’s about it.
Remember when I wrote about C#3, I said that the pillow sharing episode had given me the worst case of acne in a long time? I have very delicate skin so I’m loath to put stuff like egg-whites or cucumbers or anything else on it directly because that causes severe reactions. So, I just trust Neutrogena and wait it out. But what to do of the scars? Now that I’m not a teenager anymore, believe me I’m feeling the difference. Scars just don’t go away as easily as they used to.
When I was at the salon last month, this old lady came up to my sister and asked her, ‘Is that your sister?’
*pointing at Specs*
‘Yes…’ she says, ‘Why?’
‘Well, see, please don’t mind this, but my daughter also used to have acne. Then, she used this soap, the one that’s used to bath dead bodies (I SWEAR, hand on my heart, this is true- Specs) and her skin became so perfect! Tell your sister to try it too.’
‘Um, okay,’ says my sister, fighting to keep a straight face.
Since that day, whenever anyone sees a pimple on my face, all they do is whisper ‘dead bodies’ soap’. Need I tell you that’s annoying?
When I read other bloggers writing about Cosmeceutique, I was pretty intrigued about the ‘the difference between looking beautiful and being beautiful’ slogan. Could this be the answer? Cosmeceuticals are the latest phenomenon in the world of skin care; they are natural ingredients with medicinal properties that don’t just cover up the problem a la cosmetics, but actually address the root cause. When they offered me two free samples for a review, needless to say, I jumped at the chance. And, no pressure for a good review. I’m to just say if it works for me or not.
Soon enough, the amazingly wrapped package arrived. I thought if the product is even half as good as the packaging, I’m in for a real solution!
The way they asked the common person to ‘market’ the brand is pretty innovative. It’s a real test of their product because they can’t force a blogger to write only good stuff about them.. I’d never heard about any innovative marketing steps like this in Pakistan before and I thought if their product is anywhere near as innovative as their marketing strategy, they must have something exceptional!
I’ve been using the Pimple Scars cream for a couple of weeks now and the results are amazing! Initially, I was a bit disappointed at the lack of visible progress but I guess being totally herb and nature based, it takes a little time to kick in. Anyways, its working wonders for me now. The scars have already started to heal and none of that redness that usually accompanies creams that remove scars (I TOLD you I’m an expert in them! )
Being a hater of putting gooey tomatoes, carrots, yogurt, onions (… okay, wait, maybe not onions but you get the gist, right?)or whatever on my face, this is a God-sent! Every ingredient is natural, all in a pleasant smelling, handy tube which you can take anywhere.
The best part is the complete lack of side effects because the creams are hypoallergenic. A lot of ingredients are familiar so no worries on that count: Olive leaf extracts, Salicylic Acid, Rasmarinic Acid, Licorice.. it seems good enough to eat.
The only drawback, if you can call it that, is that the creams are priced a little bit on the steep side but that’s understandable because good quality ingredients do not come cheap. Especially, if you’re a user of imported skin care brands, then this is in the same range as them except this is, as the Cosmeceutique people say, not cosmetic but cosmeceuticals (based entirely on natural ingredients)… the difference between looking beautiful and being beautiful!
If you’re unsure about which one of these will work best for your skin, you can either take their online test or you can consult renowned specialist Dr. Najia Ashraf right on their website. They have quite an array of creams to cater to pretty much all common skin complaints. Pick your color!
Once you know which of these creams is best for you, you can order for a free delivery anywhere in Pakistan. They’re also available at all major stores but the convenience factor is there nevertheless!
The Bio Vista company is not only exceptional in terms of their marketing and their product, but also because they’ve lived up to the concept of giving back to society and shown real corporate social responsibility by initiating special programs.
If you have any queries regarding the products, leave your questions in the comments and the Cosmeceutique people will answer them.

Why does no-one offer ME free stuff via MY blog?!
I WANNA FREE STUFF NOW!
Ahem.
I am based in the UK, if any advertisers are interested… {sweet smile}
iMuslim~
Coool =)
Why don’t you try dead bodies soap too? Were they talking about kaafoor? What’s the harm .. you area live
aaah… iMuslim… you CAN get a lotta free stuff… go on the websites of loreal… ck… weghera… and just ask for your free samples… i know i do
!!!
Aww..that seemed good i want to try it too! Mujhe bhi free stuff chahiye na
hihi…
BTW, dead body soap?????!!!!!*aankhein nikaaling*
Wow, the dead body soap thing sounds really creepy! Aunties come up with the strangest cures… I mean how would they think of using that stuff in the first place? And I had no idea they used different soap to bath corpses anyway…
That cream sounds pretty cool, but I have an inherent mistrust of Pakistani herbal creams, since I’m usually offered tubes of goo that will apparently make me fair and lovely (sure enough, there’s a cosmetique skin fairness one up there too…). I tend to just read the instructions as the spelling and grammar mistakes provide endless entertainment.
All that aside – yaay for free stuff!
freeeeee stuffff !
Yeah, I forgot to comment on the “dead body soap” – I have no clue what that aunty-gee could have meant?!
Hah… I don’t understand the cosmetic stuff naturally, but I found the dead body soap story pretty amuxing. Though, I don’t think I like the auntie. Did you try it though?
When something that actually works for spots/scars it just has to be half way across the world? That sucks.
How come i don’t get free things?
fweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
Oh free stuff is the best stuff
Any natural products like this are things that make you feel good about using it. I wonder if it would work to get rid of really long lasting scars? I have a scar on my nose that people think is a piercing because it’s that dark. I’ve had it since I was 13 from having the chicken pox and I think I’ve accepted that it’ll always be there because nothing has made is disappear or even lighten.
It is one thing to have acne when you are a teenager, but it is much worse if you are an adult. I still have acne spells from time to time, will see if this is available in my country
I love how there’s a cream for ’skin fairness’
Dead people’s soap?!That’s a first I’ve heard of it.
I wonder who/how they discovered that it may be a cure for acne or pimples.
Who picked it up and decided to try it out?
Freebies are always the best way for advertisers.
Like iMuslim, I’d like to say: I’m based in the UK, please don’t hesitate to contact me for any make-up/chocolate testing. I’m available!
Dead people’s soap?? Now that makes me wonder who was the FIRST person who tried this?
I checked out the site, but thank God, don’t need any of these. A glass of mint water daily is working just fine for me
OG~How does that work? Jaldi batao! Please!
You just simmer a bunch of mint in 1.5 liter of already boiling water for 10 mins, which would give you mint water. You can later cool and drink a glas everyday. You can add honey in your glass if you like. And you have to drink it REGULARLY for 1 month. They say, the mint water removes the toxins of your body. My ex-team lead had a face full of pimples because of all the chocolates, it worked wonders with her. Can’t say anything from my side, have been drinking for just 3 days now.
Also drinkin carrot, cucumber or tomato juices are good for removing toxins of the body.
waah OG … me runs for some de-toxification too =)
OG~Thanks!
д§mд~Lets get some mint, quickly! Soon, we’ll be in mint condition, LOL>

*ps – i think you should switch salons…is it safe to go somewhere the other customers patent soap to wash the dead?!!!!!!!
I’m a big advocate of handling skin problems from within, rather than beginning on the outside. Having dealt with severe cystic acne, I’ve discovered the problem was internal. But I’m all for good over-the-counter products if they’re supportive of natural ingredients, etc. For those who are open to natural herbal medicine, my advice is to start within FIRST, then work on the outside.

Cosmeceutique looks like a pretty decent brand. The packaging design sure looks good. I’ll take a look into their products.
